LAND FOR WILDLIFE IN THE NAMBUCCA

A great opportunity for landholders in the Nambucca Valley.
Would you like some support and assistance to enhance your wildlife habitat and increase the biodiversity on your farm?
Land for Wilflife logo
Through the Catchment Management Authority Nambucca Valley Landcare has received funding to offer this program to a limited number of landholders who qualify - a minimum of ½ hectare of native vegetation is required.
Land for Wildlife is entirely voluntary and non-binding and can be integrated into your farming and lifestyle activities. Maybe you could link up with neighbours to form a wildlife corridor?

To find out more ......click here for details and an Expression of Interest form.
EOI’s should be sent to NVL by Friday 7th March. Earlier applications will be assessed first.

Call Joy at the Landcare office on 65647838 for more info.

About Us

Nambucca Valley Landcare(NVL) is a non-profit community organisation whose primary role is to assist landholders living in the Nambucca River catchment to manage their natural resources, such as soils, water and vegetation, with a particular interest and expertise in the restoration of the Nambucca River and its tributaries.
NVL acts as an umbrella organisation to smaller groups in the valley, being responsible for Public liability insurance; we apply for, hold and administer funds; run educational workshop and field days; produce educational material; provide advice to and take under our administration all members of the community willing to carry out environmental projects whether they are groups or individuals.
NVL is expanding its local networks and fostering community involvement in natural resource management, the results of which we believe are not yet fully realised. We employ 2 staff, Community Support Officer Tim Ryan has been with us for 17 years and Joy van Son 11 years, offering a wealth of experience specific to the Nambucca.
OUR MISSION: To strengthen the links between community, industry and government to promote a healthy and productive catchment by encouraging the protection and restoration of the environment and sustainable use of natural resources
